Sperasoft contributes to co-development on Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey

USA, SAN JOSE – July 20, 2018Sperasoft, a leading video game co-development company, continues its foray into ancient world history and today proudly announces its contribution to Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey.

After the successful exploration of Ancient Egypt in Assassin’s Creed® Origins, Ubisoft offers players a deeper dive by plunging into Ancient Greece. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a new installment in the best-selling Assassin’s Creed® franchise, which takes players back to the 5th century BCE, developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. The game arrives on October 5, and Early Access with the Gold and Ultimate Editions of the game begins on October 2, 2018.

Sperasoft collaborated to create Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s wildlife on land, in the oceans and the skies. It helped to populate the game world with realistic AI that behaves, fights, moves and reacts to the player in a believable, immersive way. Sperasoft is honored to contribute to the production of this AAA game, highly anticipated by millions of fans, and to be a part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is an ambitious role-playing game that places choice at the center of the experience. The action takes place in Ancient Greece, a world rich with myths and legend, in fifth century BC during the Peloponnesian War between Sparta and Athens. Embodying Alexios or Kassandra, a mercenary of Spartan blood sentenced to death by their family, players will embark on an epic journey from a young outcast to a legendary hero and uncover the truth about their mysterious First Civilization lineage.

Ancient Greece is a vast open world – nearly half of which is water – and features a strikingly diverse landscape of mountains, cities, forests, and beaches. Players can sail the Aegean Sea, hopping from one Greek island to the next, while engaging in naval combat against enemy ships. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also brings back open-world naval gameplay, putting a player at the helm of a trireme warship and setting loose to hunt pirates and other threats with a steadfast crew of archers. You’ll also be able to dive under the waves at any time, discovering undersea ruins and battling sharks as you explore.
