Rick Smith joins Sperasoft as Senior Director of Engineering

Rick Smith will lead Sperasoft’s game development engineering and platform engineering.

Rick has over 17 years’ experience as a seasoned engineering leader, spending over the last decade of that time in the games and entertainment industry. He brings to Sperasoft his broad engineering/leadership background in designing and developing highly scalable distributed online systems and client/server based platforms.

Prior to joining Sperasoft, Rick has held various positions in Software Engineering and DevOps including: Lead Engineer & Chief Architect (Sony) where he lead the development of Sony’s PlayStation Network, Manager Production Services (Sony Network Entertainment), Sr. Manager DevOps (Trion Worlds) and Director Release Management (Rockstar Games).

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Virginia, USA.
