Sperasoft works together with Rockstar to bring Grand Theft Auto V live!

Sperasoft gamedev professionals went a long way, forming a strong alliance with RockStar developers’ team while working to deliver Grand Theft Auto V to all the fans of the franchise in the world. A highly successful title, Grand Theft Auto V was widely anticipated since its announcement in 2011. Some controversy among critics added the spice: some labelled the game inherently violent and even misogynistic. A the end of the road Grand Theft Auto V broke industry sales records and became the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, earning US $800 million in its first day and US $1 billion in its first three days. It won year-end accolades, including Game of the Year awards from several gaming publications.

As a company Sperasoft is immensely proud to be a part of the team that made this release possible. The company has been in in business over 10 years now growing form a small outsourcing hub to a game developing vendor and when expanding its business lines to full in-house production center, the biggest in Eastern Europe with some major league gaming titles in its portfolio. Working with Rockstar Games was a logical continuation of our general business line aimed towards high level game development industry in general.

RockStar Games is a multinational video game developer and publisher based in New York City, owned by Take-Two Interactive following its purchase of British video game publisher BMG Interactive. They are known for such titles as Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, L.A. Noire, The Warriors, Bully, Manhunt, Midnight Club and Red Dead. While many of the studios Take-Two Interactive has acquired have been merged into the Rockstar brand, several other recent ones have retained their previous identities and have become part of the company’s 2K Games division.

Grand Theft Auto V was released on 17 September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and on 18 November 2014 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is scheduled to be released on 27 January 2015 for Microsoft Windows. The game is the first main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series since 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV. Set within the fictional state of San Andreas (based on Southern California), the single-player story follows three criminals and their efforts to commit heists while under pressure from a government agency. The open world design lets players freely roam San Andreas, which includes open countryside and the fictional city of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles).
